I was out in my backyard and saw a couple around 15 monarch butterflies today. Most were alone but a few were in pairs flying in from the south. It has been very windy so they must be very tired of flying so most of them rested on the trees for a while before moving on northward. It has been a pleasant surprise since we really did not see many monarchs last year.
