Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/19/2008

Number: 1

There are two barn swallows sitting atop the high line that runs across our backyard. We have been waiting for their arrival. We always have several nest, and enjoy observing the birds throughout the summer and early fall. Sometimes we get to see two sets of babies and sometimes three sets! My husband and I take many photos, and share them with our students. When I traveled to Japan, I showed the students at Omose Elementary School in Kesennuma, Japan. We learned we have this bird in common.
