Happy Spring! My second grade students and I were overjoyed to see our tulips emerge from the ground on this first day of spring. The tulips are up about 2in. The children spotted nearby daffodils and crocus emerging as well. We have had a great deal of snow here over the winter and the tulips were still under a bed of snow until one week ago. Warmer sun, rain and the snow-melt seems to have encouraged them to grow. Very exciting!
