My teenage daughter, along with a teacher friend, and I were shopping in downtown El Paso a few blocks from the Mexican border. As we waited for the light to change to cross the street, a Monarch skimmed several feet overhead. It was flying low, between the buildings, flying as if it was reading a roadmap.
