Finally,about 12:30 p.m. when the temperture had warmed up to 45 degrees F. in an area about one mile from my research area.
In a small grassy moist circle of sun. I saw 6 Robins hopping and one was just pulling up a very long worm. My weather average for this week was 35 degrees F. It was still a bit windy,but I am certain that when I past this way earlier today they were not there.
