Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 03/22/2008

Number: 1

The hummingbird is a ruby-throated bird. We saw him feeding at 6:10 p.m. at our hummingbird feeder that we had put out a couple of weeks ago. Don't recall the wind, but it was a warm sunny evening, probably around 70 degrees at the time. We had been anxiously awaiting our first sighting and were totally thrilled to see this little guy, who happened to still be here yesterday (or his twin!) when we were out on the porch in the evening.
