I saw my first robin today as I was driving along the Hunt Club Road, just around the corner from my farm. It was flying across the road and landed in a small chokecherry tree. The snow depth up here north of Highway 7 has kept the spring birds away until now. What a great Easter surprise!! I will watch for the first flock of male robins that should not be far behind! The sun is shining but it is quite cold up here today - -7C.
