Bald Eagle

Date: 03/24/2008

Number: 1

We live at the end of a dead end road next to the Connecticut River (just north of Herick's Cove). We see one or both of a nesting pair of eagles almost every day now. Last year they (if it's the same pair) built a nest at the bottom of our driveway; but they did not stay. This year they have been spotted in flight with branches, but we have yet to figure out where the nest is. There is one particularly large pine on the small road we live on that they like to just perch in. At one point last year we saw 3 mature and 2 immature Bald Eagles in this same pine. It's very exciting to see. They are Beautiful!
