We were a little worried to see that our tulips have emerged today. The weather has been very mild, but we are expected to have a bad winter storm beginning tomorrow. We hope the tulips will not be damaged. About 35 of them are beginning to poke through the ground. The students were surprised to see that the emerging buds look nothing like a full grown tulip. They were surprised by the brownish red color. o
