Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/26/2008

Number: 1

Woo! Hoo! Saw my 1st Monarch of spring, nectaring on dandelions in the yard. She was faded, but not tattered. Later, I saw 2 Monarchs heading North to N.E., low enough to be able to tell that they were Monarchs. No native milkweed up to lay eggs on. But have some pots of Trop. MW overwintered in the garage that are starting to put new leaves on. Temps 76 degrees, with winds WSW at 9, partly cloudy skies.

Welcome Monarchs!
