Tulips EMERGED

Date: 03/27/2008

Number: 1

Mrs. Swentzel's third grade class from Stanhope,NJ was finally able to get out and check on our tulips today. We only had about 5 of the tulips that survived the winter and have emerged. Our tulips are up about 4 and a half inches.
Some of the reasons we came up with, as to why more of our tulips did not come emerge are:
1. Some of the ground is still frozen.
2. Animals may have eaten some of them.
3. The weather has been cold.
4. We may have not have planted them correctly.
