We had been watching the emerging map and saw that tulips were emerging about 100 miles south of us. The weather has been very cold this March. We've had nearly continuous snowcover from Thanksgiving through mid-March. Thanks to the JN weekly update, we learned that tulips VERY close to us had emerged after an errant 47 degree day yesterday. (It's very cold again today.) We checked the tulips yesterday, but didn't see any shoots poking through. Today, to our surprise, we found several shoots poking out of the soil.
