Over the past week, I have seen "waves" of robins in fields around Hastings, NE. It appears there have been up to or above 100 robins in a couple of fields along Baltimore Avenue and again along the north side of Lochland Avenue. These birds are scattered over about an acre of land or more and appear to be scratching the ground looking for worms or other food. Since we've had some rain this week, the ground is moist and should be warming up. The robins have been there all day and maybe even a couple of days, before moving on.
