My wife and I saw 4 Whooping Cranes flying at the noted lat. and long. on our way from Steamboat Springs, CO to the Yampa Valley Airport on April 1, 2008. The birds were definitely Whooping cranes with long necks, long legs extending behind and black wing tips. I was elated that I could add this bird to my life list. They were in the vicinity of a power plant just east of the airport.

I thought I should report this as it appears to be west of their typical migration route.
