Robin (First HEARD singing)

Date: 04/05/2008

Number: 1

It seemed to be quite a while as we have been listening daily to hear the robin sing. This morning (Sat. April 5 2008 the robin is out there singing its head off. The morning is cloudy (7:30 am but then sunny at 8:30am). The temperatures are: Yesterday high 11C and low last night -1C; the forcast high for today is6C and the low this evening -1C and the forecast high for tomorrow is 11C and the low 0C.

I think this has been quite an unusual year for the robin. Very few around so far although I believe the first one arrived a few days earlier this year. Some days we do not see a robin – now more often. I have to keep the bird bath filled with fresh water every day as the water freezes overnight and if I do not add fresh the robin(s) and other birds sit on the edge, seemingly to ask what has happened to their water supply?
