On Saturday, April 5, I went to go visit my mother. While I was there, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. When I was leaving my driveway, I had an urge to visit my neighbor's tree. As I stared in the tree, a little female robin flew into the tree, about 7 feet off the ground. I spotted it grabbing and pulling sticks off the tree into a pile. I dazed and watched for more than an hour just lost in amazement how she did it. The next day, I went back to the tree to see if the little bird had worked on it any more than yesterday. Luckily, she was not in her nest, I did not want to disturb her; she fixed it a bit, (when I was watching yesterday, twigs and sticks were just hanging out of the nest, but she had done something with them). I left my mom's house on Sunday, April 6. I am planning on visiting her again on Friday, April 18. I will look again next time to see if there is any eggs, or she finished making the nest.
