Glad to say that one of our (now) four robins was at last singing his territorial song for us at sunset this evening from the highest tree in the area. You may well be right about temperature. It was up to 11 degrees centigrade today and much of the snow has retreated now leaving areas of the ground available for robin-style feeding .

I know you don't track them, but the first two Canada geese arrived over the weekend!
