Staff at the Virginia Living Museum report that the first Butterflyweed Asclepias tuberosa and Common Milkweed Asclepias syriaca shoots were noticed in the museum's Children's Learning Garden today. The shoots were 1 inch tall. The entire grounds of the Museum are certified as Monarch Waystation #299 with Monarch Watch.
