At 3:45, when school was out for the day & our power was out, we looked out one of the classroom windows, to observe over 2 dozen robins bopping through the sleet, snow, wind, and rain! The mud was thick in the puddles, & they were plumped up & enjoying the spot where just last week, we had five classrooms in the portable. It was great to see so much spring activity, as it was too sloppy & icy to let 425 kids out for recess today. By this coming Tuesday, they're predicting high 60's. YEA! Welcome home robins, but the pine trees are gone!
