Just saw my first Monarch of the year! A very fresh male, nectaring at the top of a grove of redbud trees. This after Charlie Cameron sent me an email that he had seen the first milkweed coming up, so I went out and pushed leaf litter around and found my first "asparagus" shoot of Comon Milkweed this morning.
