In Hyde Park, a neighborhood of Boston, the third graders, in Room 102, Roosevelt School, observed cherry trees in our school yard. We observed many buds on the branches, with a number of bud bursts. The small blossoms on the burst buds were white and pink. There were more buds waiting to burst than buds that had burst. The temperature outside was 40 degrees.
