We had a lot of robins in our neighborhood last week. I counted 40 plus one morning in our neighbor's and our yard. There was a snowstorm predicted for the end of the week. They had already had one the weekend before to the north of us, so I thought that maybe the robins stayed here for a while, rather than going farther north.
Our snow storm came on Thursday afternoon through Friday, and we received 11" of snow and strong winds! I counted over 100 robins in ours and our neighbor's yards on Thursday evening. They finished off the little apples on our flowering crab trees and were feasting on our neighbor's from their 2 trees. The trees and the ground under them were covered with robins! The snow under the trees was red from the apple remains by Saturday. I told my husband that the robins would probably stay around until the apples were gone, and then leave.
