We noticed a nest being built sometime around the end of March or beginning of April. We have a wooden playground set in our back yard. The robin chose a corner spot on the top beam of the play set. We found 3 eggs in the nest this past Monday, April 14th. I have a 9 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. We have enjoyed watching the entire process and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby robins. My children are doing well with staying away from the nest. I explained how we need to protect the nest and let the mother bird take care of her babies. This is so awesome!
