Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/10/2008

Number: 1

Interesting contrast: tulips that our class chilled (fridge) before planting in Jan. are blooming, while tulips that were not chilled but planted about a week earlier by another class are in bud, but not yet blooming, and they are only two feet away in the same bed! Next year we may study this variable more carefully.
Overall, tulips seem relatively late. We have had a record breaking cool spring this year in the Seattle area.
