Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/16/2008

Number: 1

While planting a bed of Mexican Sunflowers yesterday (4/16), I saw a Monarch nectaring at one of our fruiting Pear Trees - a 50+ year old beauty! I guess all of those south winds provided a mega-tailwind for it!

As an aside, Mexican Sunflowers are on my Top Five list of butterfly nectar plants!
