Being a beginner butterfly watcher, I needed to get really close to a beautiful Mourning Cloak butterfly snacking on an orange half near my Oriole feeder in order to identify it. It cooperated fully by resting on the orange for quite some time, letting me walk right up to it, where I studied it in detail. What a beautiful little creature....
