Our school provides habitat for many insects, reptiles,mammals, amphibians, and birds.

Our native plant habitat provides food and shelter. Bear Creek is a natural water source right next to our school.

A few species we have recorded are:
bald eagle, turkey vulture, black vulture, american crow, fish crow, blue jay, cardinal, mocking bird, cat bird, house sparrow, mourning dove, american robin, loggerhead shrike,white ibis, wood stork, great egret, great blue heron, redbellied woodpecker, downy woodpecker, cattle egret, killdeer, redshouldered hawk, osprey, gulf fritillary, zebra longwing, orangebarred sulphur, cloudless sulphur, longtailed skipper, dainty sulphur, ceraunus blue, red admiral, monarch, great southern white, checkered skipper, american lady, polydamas, spicebush swallowtail,tiger swallowtail, raccoon, opposom, grey squirrel, green anole, black racer, blind snake, cuban anole.
