The first monarch sighting happened this evening while outside watching our purple martins. Christopher(age 10) is our resident official watcher! The monarch flew over our fruit trees and kept heading north in an obvious hurry. Last year the first sighting hung around our yard most of the day but this one had a mission in mind. We were also very pleased to see our first swallowtail today...we love Spring!
