Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 04/14/2008

Number: 1

FINALLY!!!! After enduring the wettest March ever recorded, we finally had enough "40 degrees or higher" days to allow our tulips to bloom. One of the tulips grew through a plastic soda ring that someone had discarded. We're going to observe how this affects the tulip's growth and health overall. We're also trying to notice whether the size of the blooms (height of petals) is affected by the amount of sunlight the flowers receive (some are in a shady area). They're really bright and add beauty to our school yard.
