I know. Loons are not found in Utah within the typical field guide territorial maps. But there is a pair of common loons which have nested at the Hyrum State Park reservoir for a few years. Bird watchers from around the state came to see them once we reported our sighting. They look content amid the grebes, coots, terns, and gulls.
