You won't believe this. It's kind of spooky. I've been on the lookout for the first Baltimore Oriole. We've had them at our feeder for the past several years. I thought they might not come. We had built a shed close to the feeder. And last June it rained for over 30 days straight -- they moved somewhere else. I was looking out the kitchen window, saying to my husband, "I wish the oriole would come." and it did. WOW Needless to say shivers were involved.
