I have spotted my first Monarch Butterfly of the season this afternoon.It was about 15 feet off the ground and landed on a tree that was in full bloom. (perhaps a white dogwood tree} I noticed the butterflys color was not as vibrant as I usually think of...a paler shade of orange. After a few minutes it flew north against a northern head wind.
