FINALLY! First orioles sighted today. At 6:30pm we saw a mature male at one of our grape jelly feeders, then saw what looked to be a first year (immature) male on one of the nectar feeders. Once the older male spotted his neighbor he quickly chased the juvenile off and took its place at the nectar feeder. As I watched them from our deck, I was certain I heard the call notes from a third oriole coming from across the street but I did not see it. Temperature was 66F and conditions were overcast. Needless to say, I quickly festooned the yard with fresh nectar, jelly, and oranges :)
