Common milkweed - Asclepias syphilitica - is about a foot tall on the hill behind my farm, although the common milkweed on my farm hasn't emerged yet. Don't know why the hill would be different from the flatland in emergence rate. The swamp milkweed in the wetland area is about 3 inches tall.
