Tulips that emerged on April 16th are blooming for the first time today, May 5th. That's just 19 days from emerging to blooming. We had a cold spell for the past ~ week which really slowed them down. They looked to be on the verge of blooming the entire time but it took today's warm sunshine to coax them open.
