Oriole (1st Baltimore)

Date: 05/01/2008

Number: 1

2 males arrived and feasted on oranges, grape jelly and sugar water. We have had orioles for many years, I always anxiously await them and have food waiting. Each year it seems I get 2 or 3 male "scouts" first and then many more males and females follow in a few days, they nest and stay around for several weeks bringing their young for us to enjoy as well. I love to hear them calling to each other, wonderful sound! SPRING! What a beautiful bird!
