Hummingbird, Rufous (FIRST)

Date: 04/24/2008

Number: 1

I am just reporting in from Hummingbird Central again today. We were
cleaning up after lunch today when my wife called me to see the brilliant
hummingbird at the feeder. The bird was a male Rufous Hummingbird, which is
indeed a brilliant bird. This sighting means that we have seen at our
feeder Black-chinned Hummingbird, Calliope Hummingbird and Rufous
Hummingbird all within the past five days. This seems all the more amazing
to me because of how early in the year it is now.
