Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/10/2008

Number: 1

I recovered 30 monarch larvae (1st and 2nd instars) from my asclepius syriaca. I'd probably have seen them sooner but we had had several days of rain and cool weather and I had not ventured out to the back. I have still only seen one very faded monarch on April 23rd as she was laying these very eggs.
