Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 05/05/2008

Number: 1

One lone, droopy, short tulip finally bloomed in our garden on May 5th. It was 66 degrees when out tulip finally decided to bloom. The weather and animals have not cooperated with our flowers. The pesky squirrels dug up our tulips and have been very bad to us and our experiment this growing season. We think our local fat squirrel may be the tulip burglar. Haylee thinks we should put up a fence to keep out the nasty squirrels. We also observed rabbit scat in the area. Maybe they were partners in crime. The weather has been unseasonably cool for this time of year.
