Our Red Emperor tulips finally bloomed on Friday the 10th of May. Out of 25, we had 6 that survived the wildlife attacks on the bulbs. We were thrilled none-the-less since this is the first year we've had any tulips bloom at all! We had also planted Yellow Emperor tulips ... only 3 emerged, and as yet haven't bloomed.
So did the human hair buried with the bulbs help to deter the squirrels and rabbits? We think it did to some extent. We'll try it again next year!
