Finally! Butte's tulips have emerged -- now that the Journey North is winding down. The soil was very rocky; it looks like the tulips would have benefited from the addition of fertilizer. They will probably not bloom; not all plants have buds, and those that do seem to be less than robust. But at least they survived our long winter and cold spring. And so did we! :-)
