Overlooking the pool at my hotel, I noticed a few very skilled flyers darting up and down the updrafts created by the hotel terraces. On closer inspection, I found they were very brightly colored Monarch butterflies. They must be practically indestructible! The sustained wind had to be somewhere around 15 knots and gusts around 20-25 knots.
