At first I couldn't tell the milkweed sprouts from other sprouts. I had been afraid to pull any until I was sure. When I could see the smooth leaves, I knew they weren't some other "weed" and I was able to pull up the non-milkweed. It'll be a while before they have buds. I always cook up a few buds - I have a lot. Boil buds only and throw out water twice.
