Playing with dog and noticed butteriflie-then lots of butterflies. They were coming from the southwest and headed northeast, or so it seemed. However, I noticed they were landing in the meadow out back where I live. After reading this sight and learning about the milkweed I knew why they were landing. We have a lot of milkweed around. I watdhed them for about an hour-sometimes they would come in groups of 6 or more and others just a few or single. It was then I realized they were migrating. It was so cool to watch them! I live near the Idaho side of the Grand Tetons. What a special treat!
