Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/24/2008

Number: 1

I placed a couple large pots of swamp milkweed that had eggs that the Monarch laid on 5/14 inside my screen tent outside. The eggs had not hatched. I took 3 eggs inside yesterday to see if they would hatch and by late morning today, they had emerged from their eggs. That's about 10 days.
The temperature sure does slow down the cycle.
It stayed between 40-50 degrees at night and we had temps between 65-70 during the day during that period.
