Yesterday around 6:30 pm I saw my first monarch of the season! It was flying in the dappled sunlight of an aspen grove at the end of our soybean field. I was so excited to finally spot one! Make that two and three. About an hour later while driving home, one crossed the highway in front of me. Then a third one welcomed me when I arrived home. It was flying around my yard.
