On 5/22 I released 11 new monarchs. On 5/23 I released 18 new monarchs. On 5/27 I released 6 new monarchs. These are the ones raised from the 70 eggs found on 4/18/08. I didn't bring all these eggs in...only about 40. They were raised in my kindergarten classroom. We 'completed the circle' at school...after raising and tagging 77 in the fall and awaiting their return in the spring, we have launched a new generation! The children were very excited: on the first day of school we had lots of caterpillars to watch and on the last day of school (5/23) we had a great butterfly launch!
