Last week a friend moved to Eolia , KY, (Harlan Co.) where he and his wife will be working at a camp for the summer. He is a professional photographer and called me this evening to report a great host of butterflies and moths about the camp. I asked him about Monarchs and he said he saw a handful at their lower camp in the valley this morning. He will look for milkweed and eggs. I still have not seen Monarchs here in Lancaster County, PA. I have one of my butterfly hotspots that I want to check out possibly over the weekend.
