We have a pair of mating robins that have built a nest in our rear porch rafter. They are raising 3 chicks.
At about the time of the building of the nest, one of the robins (we believe it may be the female due to its smaller size than that of the mate)started to "attack" the rear porch glass window. It flies at the window and flutters its wings against the pane. It does this about 50 times a day. When disuaded from this bahavior by our presence, it flies to the north side window and does the same thing.
We're not sure if it sees its reflection and thinks it's a threat. Any guesses?
Thanks,
Scott
