Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/01/2008

Number: 1

Walking in my urban St. Paul neighborhood enjoying the gardens, I spotted a common milkweed plant. Since I'd seen my first monarch butterfly the day before, I looked for eggs. I found three on three different plants in the yard! When I got home, I checked my own milkweed and found one more egg on a common milkweed plant. The next day I saw a monarch flying in the neighborhood.
